Give poor ignorant people a book and tell them that it is "the" truth as set down by God Almighty and watch the inevitable atrocities unfold. Christianity can not wash its hands of this, it is an indelible disgrace to human decency that a child, a child!, can be accused of being a witch in Britain in the 21st century!! Christianity is as amoral now as it ever was and those who claim it has changed are deluding themselves, the atrocities of its creed simply play themselves out in places that are obscured from the scrutiny of the popular press. Moderates may claim they are good people, but in the face of such brutality they must surely think themselves a minority within their own creed. Oh when shall we be rid of this madness?!
