According to the posters, smoking, alcohol, music, drugs, prostitution and porn are forbidden.
The posters come as a Bill in the House of Lords seeks to stop Sharia law taking root as a parallel legal system.
The Arbitration and Mediation Services (Equality) Bill, introduced by Baroness Cox, would make it a crime for Sharia courts to falsely claim legal jurisdiction and applies to all arbitration tribunals.
In a blogpost titled Sharia Law is a code of despair; a code obsessed with women by BHA Distinguished Supporter Maryam Namazie states:
Sharia law should have no place in Britain or anywhere else for that matter because it is fundamentally discriminatory and misogynist at best (as are all religious laws). Just because the Sharia courts in Britain and Europe are dealing primarily (but not exclusively) with implementing Sharia’s civil or family code rather than its penal code, it doesn’t make it any more acceptable.

I do live in London (Brixton) and if I come across one of those posters I will go to DIY shop to buy a spray to paint in it something offensive for them and after I will buy some weed (which lots of people are offering in the street at any time) and smoke all around that area and wait!

I find it very odd that the symbol for porn and prostitution on the poster is a high heal shoe. It reminds me of the Taliban beating women for showing their ankles. And clearly we all know where singing can lead? Church, and we wouldn’t want that.
Drugs alcohol and gambling are obviously things we would probably be better off without but there is no evidence that Islamic countries have less drug problems, just more hidden drug gambling and alcohol problems indeed some islamic countries are the main producers of certain narcotics.
Lets be honest what is being asserted is suppression of freedom. We may not always like the fruits of freedom because choice always leaves the possibility of making a bad choice but no choice?

I’m not sure whether to be glad or upset that something like that won’t happen in my area (At least, not for a while). I’d just love to see one of the little bastards try to and opress me.
It is surprising that these people are campaigning for Shariah law in a non-Muslim country rather than campaigning to remove unislamic legislation in the UK, such as the law banning female circumcision including the Islamic form (hoodectomy, removal of the prepuce of the clitoris) whose necessity for the Muslim female has been stressed again and again as in the website: http://www.umatia.org/2011/Safe%20Female%20circumcision.doc
