Muhammad cartoon row leads to resignation
The BBC writes:
The president of a London university atheist society has resigned over a row about an image of the Prophet Muhammad.
The society at University College London (UCL) published an image on its Facebook page showing “Jesus and Mo” having a drink at a bar.
The atheist group was asked by the UCL union to remove it, but refused and started a petition defending its freedom of expression.
A student Muslim group began a counter-petition asking for its removal.
UCL’s Atheist, Secularist and Humanist society said its president Robbie Yellon was stepping down to be replaced by former vice president Michael Thor.
Hilarious! There has to be a change in law to remove all religious views from all laws. Religion is a hobby, nothing more, and should never have anything to do with law, politics, human rights or freedom of speech.
There is no god, mohammad or any other deity. One day they’ll realise this – those poor people that not only believe in, but live their lives according to fictional stories with zero evidence to back them up and in the face of such strong evidence against it. Crazy that adults who should know better are forcing children to believe this rubbish too. Religion has no place in schools either.
When will people understand that they don’t have the right not to be offended?
If they don’t like an image of something, no one is forcing them to view it.

What right do the ‘religious’ have to judge me? My atheism?
I AM OFFENDED when I am repeatedly told I will ‘burn in hell’.

Why do I not have the protection of the law? The same protection that is afforded to those who have zero evidence for their belief? These folk who belief in whichever deity mutually excludes the belief in other deities? They cannot ALL be right?
I AM OFFENDED they are given preferential treatment under law, under governance of the this Great Britain.

The crazy this is that the Danish cartoon has become reality. Over 5 turban bombs in the last 10 months. All done in the name of the prophet Mohammad. I don’t understand why Muslims are angry. This is reality.
