The Telegraph reports that:

The floods that have devastated swathes of the country are God’s judgment on the immorality and greed of modern society, according to senior Church of England bishops.

  1. I cant believe any intelligent person could think like that.

It suggests anything but a ‘loving’ God. It suggests one (a God) who punishes the children for the sins (even unknown sins) of the parents.

How can this be just ? Or fair.

That’s taking it at the mundane level.

In fact anyone who thinks any omnipotent creator (would create the earth and all animals and humanity) and then leave them to the tribulations of nature but still expects worshipping (a concept I have never understood) must be one chocolate short of a box.

Why would an omnipotent being crave worship? Why would he /she /or it create billions of years ago and have no further interest in his/her/ or its creation? except in the views of this Bishop to punish anyone associated with humanity.

I think the most reasonable answer is. They wouldnt. Therefore they just dont exist.

That suggests the Bishop is earning a living by false pretences.
