What is RSS? RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication” (see Wikipedia). Subscribing to RSS feeds means you don’t have to visit the sites you’re interested in to see when they post something new. Instead your aggregator (or “news reader” or “feed reader”) will automatically list new posts as they are made.
Aggregator? You can use an aggregator in your web browser by creating an account at sites like Netvibes, My Yahoo!, or iGoogle (all a bit like online newspapers whose ‘columns’ you choose yourself) or Google Reader (which looks a bit more like an email client). There are more web-based readers as well as other kinds of aggregator.

You can also get individual feeds for each “category”. See “Places to go” in the sidebar, select the subject you’re interested in to see a list of posts in that category, then click the orange square. For example the Humanism category has its own feed containing Humanism-related posts.
